~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *~*Basic Rules of the Bard's Guild*~* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The only rules that have been made are common sense rules. You should be able to figure them out for yourself, but for those of you who need a little reminding: You don't PK (player kill) a fellow guild member. Generally the punishment for this is that you will be exiled for the rest of a reboot (depending on how far into the reboot we are, maybe the next one too). Of course, harsher penalties may be imposed if circumstances merit it. Please do not store items of little to no value. This includes, but is not limited to, things like stones, honeycombs, potions, coffee, or other items that are used up easily. The guild vault is mostly for the good armor that can't be pvaulted. Anything that doesn't apply, but you'd like to donate to the guild, leave at Mandragora in the Studio for others to help themselves to. You can also ask Orpheus about his house where such items (particularly stones) can be stored without being marked by the guild stamp. Do not borrow or trash another Bard's instrument without permission. Not even Pipes of Pain. You can make your own instrument, and everyone expects their instrument to BE there when they want to hunt. Show respect for your guildmates. No overtly rude language on the guild line. Remember, the bardline is basically a public channel, the language rules apply. If the Guildmaster feels that you are repeatedly offensive, you may be linebanned for a reboot. Please don't be a whiner about asking for gear, inspires, tunes, pvault money, or help. We may be one big happy family, but everyone has their own lives, and just because you want something is no excuse to give someone trouble for not doing it for you. Most of all, inspires and tunes are a privilege, not a right. The Master Bards are usually happy to help anyone out, but don't make a nuisance of yourself asking for these things. The gvault is a great convenience. We all share in the responsibility of stocking it and keeping it stocked. When a bard borrows equipment from the gvault, it is that bard's responsibility to store the equipment he/she borrowed. If equipment is not returned, it is that bard's responsibility to replace that piece of equipment. If the bard cannot replace that piece of equipment please, Bardie, mudmail your GM. Even if you can replace the equipment, you should still mudmail your GM, thusly keeping your GM informed. The same goes with your instruments. You take such great care, (and sometimes with the aid of another bard for inspires or tunes) to fabricate your instrument, please store your instrument in the lockers when you are done using them. If you see an instrument or guild equipment outside the vault, please be so kind as to store the instrument or gear. A clean and tidy guild is a happy guild!!!! ;) If you lose Guild gear, the loss situation will be taken into account. For punishment, you maybe either warned, be vault-banned for three days or some multiple thereof, or until you address the terms the GM has set. In order to ensure all bards get a chance to use the more powerful equipment, the maximum time allowed to use this gear is four hour per piece of gear. When your four hours are up, you are required to come back and store the gear. If you are the only one on, you are not required to store until someone logs in and requests it. If there is a piece of gear you would like to use that falls under this category, please wait your turn. Do not pester the person who is using the equipment by sending multiple tells asking when they will be done, or harass them in anyway. Once their four hours are up, please ask politely for them to return the gear. Harassment of players that have time left to use gear can result in vault ban for the offender. As well, hoarding gear in any form, including storing and reborrowing can also result in vault ban. This is the bardic solution to the partial owner- ship system that other guilds have adopted. The bards have not adopted the PO system as this works for us. There is a suggested inspire/legend ban on anyone who pks a bard for no reason or for the reason of refusing service. This is up to the individual bard though. Please consult with the guild board for information on who might be currently banned from bard guild services.
